I have my iPad!! Well I have done for about a week now but I haven’t had chance to get my WordPress app set up on here. (Yes I’m blogging from the iPad). I thought what the heck might as well give it a test drive right?

Let me just start by saying if you have been debating on getting an iPad stop right there and do it, go and buy one now! Especially if you have the funds for it. I’ve barely used my computer since using it. It’s very handy for when I come home from work worn out. All I want to do is grab some food and then get in bed. It’s great for reading, taking notes and catching up on tv shows you might of missed. If that’s not enough there’s always Netflix, a ton of games and social apps if you like networking like myself. Just before anyone says anything.. no, those last few words aren’t endorsed by Apple!
My only problem which is minor is I can’t use the US Netflix on my iPad like I can on my 360 as the DNS servers won’t work on the iPad for some reason. Either way it’s no biggie and it doesn’t effect me. I have to look at it this way I have the best of both worlds. UK Netflix on the iPad and UK version on the 360!

So, onto a new subject… work. I have some good news. I have been made full time! I also run my own department being DIY, wallpaper and paint. Quite a big job but I’m loving it! I have another person working with me but I don’t see him much as he does part time. I won’t lie it’s quite a tiresome job right now especially with the nice weather this past week, sales have gone wild! I’m so happy with my job right now. I have been working for the same company for 2 years in September so I was surprised I finally got offered full time. Especially running the department I wanted!
Ok, work has its bad days but I mean… It’s bound to right? You just have to learn to get over those minor issues and hope for a better day tomorrow. Positivity is the way forward!

Anyway not much else to say other than … GAME OF THRONES SEASON 2! Watch it!

Dentists no more… or at least a good while

So since it’s been yet again like forever since I updated. I have had all my treatment done at the dentists for now. I don’t have to visit any longer for 6 months, which is a nice break. My final session at the dentist this time round was very painful. I now have dentures and getting used to them well… it just isn’t working yet. My gums are so damn sore so I can barely eat with them in. Just hoping my gums heal a bit more over the next week or so.

I’m so happy right now! I just ordered the new iPad. I’ve been wanting an iPad ever since they released the first one! It should arrive Wednesday I can’t wait

What I’ve been up to

So with the lack of blogging, what have I been up to?

Well to start off I’ve had 10 days off work. I’m back in tomorrow sadly…

Anyway here’s a list of things I got up to in no particular order:

Met up with some friends and had a good catch up and plenty of alcohol was consumed!
Sorted out my old clothes to give to charity.
Sorted out my wardrobe and threw out a load of junk I brought with me when I moved house.
Started watching season 1 of Game of Thrones. (I love it!)
Watched a ton of other TV shows
Consumed more alcohol with my best buddy Sam
Had a bad chest all week due to laughing to much I assume and pulled a chest muscle… doh.
Spent some time with my auntie.

I think that’s pretty much everything other than that I slept a ton and kept the house tidy. That last sure makes it look like I’ve done a ton of stuff but really… I didn’t. The idea of taking some time off work though was mainly to relax and just have a break from work. It’s stressful sometimes and I needed some time to myself. Hence the reason I haven’t been blogging. I just haven’t felt the need or urge to update. It’s not like anyone reads this thing anyway… so who cares?

Guess what next Monday is? …. Yikes. It’s dentist time! I’m so scared right now my nerves are running wild. I’m happy I’m getting my teeth sorted finally like I’ve said in my other posts but seriously I feel like I’m going to die or something! Hoping this first trip on Monday will help me overcome the fear as I’m back there on the Thursday the same week.

Dentists update

So I went to the dentists last Friday. I got there half hour early thinking I’d miss my appointment. Then I was wishing I never got there that early because I’m not kidding my nerves were through the roof! I was panicking, feeling sick and just wanting to get it out of the way but I had to wait. When it came my turn to see my new dentist he was really nice. Fair enough, I was still so nervous but he seemed nice enough and I trusted him. He’s also Spanish so that is awesome.

Thinking I’d have treatment that day I was ready for most things but I’m not at the dentists now for another 3 1/2 weeks. That’s when all my treatment starts over a four week period. I’m scared but the outcome will be worth it and I’m guessing my confidence will boost with going to the dentists. In some weird way I’m kind of looking forward to it. I find it strange still I’m facing my biggest fear after a child hood scare with the dentists. It is my new years resolution to have a great smile and healthy teeth and I’m sure making some good progress already!

Dentists

I’m at the dentists next Friday and I’m absolutely dreading it. I’ll be all out and honest and admit I haven’t been to the dentist in years. Why? Because I had a bad experience and it indefinitely put me off going. Much like peoples fear for spiders. Yeah, that kind of scared. Next week will be a big deal for me and nerves will be flying high but I’m going to face my fear and get my teeth sorted because I don’t even like my own smile. Purely because of my teeth really. Getting them fixed will be a big confidence boost.

Having an abscess on Christmas Eve made me think twice about going too as my face looked like I’d gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson! Going to an emergency dentist on Christmas Day wasn’t my idea of a good Christmas but sure it’ll be one to remember and won’t forget! I couldn’t even drink as they had to give me anti-biotics to get rid of the infection in the tooth. Luckily I got to have a drink on New Years Eve and had a damn good New Years with family.

I’m just dreading if they will want to do a root canal. Personally I’d rather have it out and be done with it. If it means having one false tooth so be it. I’ve heard too many bad things about root canals and it scares me even more! Talk about panic, my heart is coming out of my chest just thinking about it!!

So I’ve moved to a new web host (DreamHost). I decided to move because I was sick of the problems with my old host. No support when I needed it and there was some sort of problem with WordPress on there servers. I kept getting denied viewing of my own website because of some crappy infection in WordPress that a got rid of numerous times and it still came back. Even after a clean install, TWICE! Oh yeah and I’m sticking with my .com this time which is my old domain. Much easier to remember for the majority and to tell people my URL.

I’m trying to find a decent looking theme that suits my style right now. Not looking for anything too fancy just something simple with a bit of colour. I really like this theme: http://www.elmastudio.de/wordpress-themes/piha/ but I’m undecided as of yet. Once I start blogging more then I’ll think about the commitment of putting money down on a theme.

Hopefully there is no more problems with WordPress or the hosting now so I can blog without any silly problems.
